The “Build Your Own 2013 M6” section of BMW USA’s website has been officially up for a couple of days now, plenty of time for us to decide what we’d get if our credit stretched that much.
Being the purists that we are, the $106,100 Coupe would have to be the obvious choice for us, but the distinct lack of a bright color like orange or yellow is infuriating us. Instead, all BMW is offering are shades of blues, blacks and browns. It’s like they forgot forgot this car has a pulse.

Thankfully, you can have an dirty orange or white interior, so there are ways to stand out. And if that’s what you’re after, go for the $113,100 2013 M6 Convertible instead!

Optional packages on the new BMW M6 Coupe and Convertible include the Driver Assistance Package that comes with lane departure warning, plenty of cameras and blind spot detection for $1,900.

If you want full-LED headlights, heated steering wheel, satellite radio or that cool head-up display, the $4,900 Executive Package that includes them all seems like a good deal.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
