BMW finally has an answer for the Mercedes Benz CLS and Audi A7, which will no longer have the run of the market. While we would have much preferred that BMW didn’t use the 6-Series name for this project, the fact of the matter is this car has plenty to offer, including some very decent powertrains and AWD for the more powerful petrol version.
The car that was revealed over the weekend already has an online configurator ready for us to play with. There are no prices on show as far as we can tell, but you can see what it looks like in a number of boring corporate colors as well as two showy ones - Alpine White and Imola Red.

Besides the standard model, BMW found it wise to also introduce the optional M Sport and Individual packages, which will both be available from launch. It’s pretty obvious that with its aero bits black-painted brake callipers, LED foglamps, and a sports exhaust system, the M look is what we went for.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
