What takes its top off in 15 seconds and roars like a lion? It’s simple – the all-new 2013 Audi RS5 Cabriolet. To be fair, the chassis isn’t that new, but given how well the new facelift looks, we’re not complaining.
The drop-top Audi RS5 is fitted with the same 4.2-liter naturally-aspirated V8 engine that produces 450 PS (444 hp) and maximum torque of 430Nm (318 lb-ft) between 4,000 and 6,000 rpm. A seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission, while traction is ensured by a quattro permanent all-wheel drive system set up with 40:60 front-to-back.
The car shown at the Paris Motor Show will go on sale in Europe in early 2013, with prices starting at €88,500. The model is also going to be sold in the US, though we don’t know the price yet.
In Paris, Audi went for a simple and elegant theme, so most of the cars were either red or white. This simple white RS5 Cabrio filmed by Marchettino looks good, which means it will be even better in blue or red. The full leather interior is is a very retro brown color, while the rest of the in trim is black.
