German tuning house ABT Sportsline is the biggest supplier of aftermarket parts targeting cars from VW Group. They didn’t miss a beat this year, and presented their projects as soon as possible when there’s a new Audi or Volkswagen around.
Today’s ABT kit is for the 2013 Audi Q5, the facelifted version of the SUV that sports fresh grille and headlights and bumper. Taking advantage of this, ABT has introduced a replacement for the new hexagonal factory grille with much fewer bars and a sporty look. Also part of the package are some wheelarch extensions, front apron, new rocker panels and a rear diffuser.
On the engine front ABT says it will take the stock 2.0 TDI up to 205PS and 420Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque from just 177 PS and 380Nm (280 lb-ft), while the 3.0-liter TDI can be boosted from 245 PS and 580Nm (428 lb-ft) to 282PS and 630Nm (465 lb-ft).
