We're out test driving the Audi A7 Sportback and the dramatic roofline of the car seems to be a perfect boredom killer when you're stuck in a traffic jam.
We're looking up rather than around because we want to feel the difference to the A6 sedan. The two are closely related and their cabins are almost identical.

We finally get going again and the suppleness of the powertrain makes us concentrate on it. It's pretty difficult to find a fault to our test car's combination between a 3.0 TFSI engine and an S tronic gearbox.

The supercharger and the double clutch work together like magic, offering us a thrilling response as we reach the outskirts of the city. Only a few miles separate us from the highway and once we get here, we can push the 310 hp unit further into the rev range.

There soundtrack becomes just a bit more imposing and the speedometer needle climbs in a linear manner, despite the wind's efforts to push the car back.

We're planning to exit the highway and introduce the vehicle to a series of bends, but you can read more about that in our 2013 Audi A7 Sportback test drive.
