The facelift on the Passat CC has resulted in Volkswagen dropping the “Passat” from the name and adding a bit of modern styling. Now the car that was revealed last year at the Los Angeles Auto Show has made it to British shores in Right Hand Drive, and is available for GBP24,200.
The base car comes with the 1.8-liter TSI, good for 160 hp. The range topper is not a big V6, but the 2.0-liter TDI with 170 hp, a six-speed DSG gearbox and BlueMotion Technolog, all worth GBP30,100.
Whichever engine you go for, you will be able to enjoy the Volkswagen CC with RNS 315 touchscreen satellite navigation system, DAB radio, iPod and Bluetooth connectivity, 2Zone climate control, 17 inch alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights and brake energy recovery systems.
The GT trim adds to this eated front seats, Nappa leather interior, three-mode adaptive chassis control, cruise control, parking sensors, 18 inch alloys, front fog lights and heat insulating tinted glass at the back.
As safety systems go, ESP is fitted as standard, but Side Assist that monitors blind spots is an option, and so is Lane Assist, rear view camera, front seats with massage function and an electrically deployed towbar.
