2012 SEMA: Toyota Sequoia Family Dragster

Nothing looks more out of place than a parachute strapped to the back of what used to be an SUV, but that’s exactly what Antron Brown has done with a Toyota Sequoia SUV, which we saw at the SEMA show, in Las Vegas.

It features extensive modifications, including the addition of a TRD supercharger, which boosts power from the regular car’s 381 hp, to a much more respectable 650 hp, from its 5.7-liter V8 powerplant.

It also gets plexiglass windows, a very extreme suspension lowering kit, carbon fiber body parts, a huge spoiler on the back, and the aforementioned parachute. It also gets a full roll cage, as well as huge 21.5-inch rims, with proper drag racing rubber.

While this car may be a somewhat pointless exercise, we must admit that we would like to see it in action, because seeing something like this, being driven quickly, then deploying its parachute (which it most definitely needs) is... interesting, to say the least.
