2012 Roush Mustang Beats Yamaha R6 on the Quarter Mile

While the liter-class superbikes are really not the fairest competitors for supecars, it looks like the supersport ones are a good match in terms of performance.
Since we saw countless occasions of 1000cc motorcycles smoking 500HP cars and only the likes of the Bugatti Veyron or hyper-tuned GTRs being able to beat them, watching an Yamaha YZF-R6 racing a 2012 Roush Mustang was really exciting, to say the least.

We kind of hoped that the R6 would leave the Mustang behind, but this was not the day. Not only the Mustang won the quarter-mile drag race, but it also showed up a good extra 2 mph (3.2 km/h). Knowing that in the long run, the powerful cars are winning almost all the time, we might say that the Mustang was better than the R6 hands down.
