Opel’s fans will definitely have something to look forward to this year, as the brand new OPC hothatch has made its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show, and will soon arrive on the market. We still don’t know the ever-important price to see if the car will be competitively priced against its rivals the Megane Renaultsport and VW Golf GTI. But one thing is for sure: it’s not short on power!
Thanks to a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, the OPC is now among the most powerful hothaches and even hyperhatches. It’s got 280 horsepower at its disposal and a trick suspention and drivetrain to cope with this power.
The front is typical OPC, with triangular scoops at the front. Down the side, it has a coupe feel and a blade accent line and a feature line that comes off the door. The overall impression is of a very masculine, and since it’s got 20-inch wheels, it really looks like a drive’s car.
