2012 MINI JCW GP Design Explained

If you’re a MINI fan, nothing will get you more excited than the fastest cars they’ve ever built for the road and track. The second coming of the GP is clearly coming this year, as they’ve called it the “MINI JCW GP 12”.
The car is base on the regular JCW hatch, but offers a more aggressive front end which reduces lift, a carbon fiber wing and a diffuser tail. MINI’s head of design says the gray of the body as being “flat” hinting at BMW frozen paint.

The color scheme will also include silver for the roof and red for the mirrors. The fastest MINI ever made has lapped the Nurburgring in 8:23, a very respectable time for front-drive hatchbacks.

Only about 2,000 of the will be made, likely powered by a 1.6-liter turbo producing about 230 hp.
