We are only a few miles away from the beginning of the summer and this means the automotive world is preparing its annual explosion of convertible rides. Mercedes has done its homework, with the 2012 SLK already being offered for sale. Thus, it is now time for tuners to target the vehicle and offer us various options for making the car truly belong to its owner.

Piecha Design has recently introduced the Accurian RS, a modification pack for the 2012 SLK. The kit, which is one of the first to be offered for the third generation of the German vehicle, targets the car’s exterior and, as you’ll see, also brings a touch of tech mods.

As we are fans of anything that makes a car go faster, we’ll start with the latter part. Piecha Design redefined the SLK’s connection to the road, installing a lowered suspension that brings the car 25 mm closer to the road, influencing the cornering as well as the looks of the car. The vehicle now rides on a set of 19-inch MP1 monobloc rims that use 225/35 tires for the front axle and 275/30 tires for the rear one.

In addition to that, the car has been gifted with a roof control module that allows the roof to be opened or closed at speeds of up to 60 km/h (37 mph).

The Piecha Accurian RS has received a set of exterior modifications that enhance both its looks and aerodynamics, also being fitted with LED daytime running lights and new exhaust mufflers.
