2012 Mercedes Benz C-Coupe DTM Race Car

This year’s DTM is going to see BMW, Mercedes and Audi battling with new cars on the track, and we have a fresh-looking silver arrow to show you, one that will stand out from a mile away.
The 2012 Mercedes Benz DTM car has made the change from the sedan body of last year to the new Coupe shape. The car is also much more imposing visually because of the wider wheelarches, which as David Coulthard himself explains, are there to house bigger tires.

But changes for 2012 mainly focus on making the cars safer for the drivers. Each DTM model has to come with six energy-absorbing crash structures providing extra protection on the front, rear, and sides of the vehicle.
