Mazda has released full pricing information for the brand new CX-5 crossover ahead of the British market arrival this Spring. There are a total of 18 models to choose from, which sounds complicated, but after choosing one of the two engines available, it all becomes simpler. Prices range between £21,395 OTR for the 2.0 SE-L 2WD model and £28,795 OTR for the top-of-the-range 2.2 Sport NAV Auto (175).
There are two engines available, with three power outputs. The petrol model is a 2.0-litre SKYACTIV with 165 hp, and the diesel is a 2.2-liter with either 150 hp or 175 hp. The CX-5 is available in front- or all-wheel drive ) and four equipment levels – SE-L, SE-L Nav, Sport and Sport Nav.
Even the base SE-L model comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, front fog lights, dual-zone climate control air-conditioning, Smart City Brake Support and privacy glass, plus front and rear parking sensors.
“As well as delivering a thrilling drive, great fuel economy up to 61.4mpg and low emissions down as low as 119g/km – thanks to its clever SKYACTIV technology – the all-new Mazda CX-5 will offer motorists in Britain excellent value for money,” comments Peter Allibon, Sales Director, Mazda UK.
“Thanks to its solid environmental credentials, fun-to-drive performance and attractive pricing, the Mazda CX-5 is expected to have huge customer appeal,” adds Allibon. “The range of SKYACTIV technologies allows Mazda to build cars that deliver class-leading fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, without the price premium charged by other brands for hybrids and electric vehicles.”
