2012 Lotus Evora S IPS Explained

Lotus has brought a few changes to the 2012 model year Evora and the company has released the adjacent video in order to give us a taste of the car. The clip is focused on the Evora S IPS (Intelligent Precision Shifting), the automatic gearbox version of the more powerful Evora.
The vehicle received an upgraded exhaust, a new satnav, a superior leather finish and others. The Evora S IPS is being put through its paces on the track by Matt Becker, chief engineer of vehicle dynamics at Lotus, who explains us how the gearbox works when the drivers selects the “sport” mode.

He goes through the manual and auto modes of the gearbox separately, explaining how these are calibrated.
