The 2012 Honda Insight was just introduced by Honda to the Australian market. The refreshed car comes with improved equipment as well as better efficiency for the hybrid drivetrain system. Prices for the 2012 Insight VTi stat at $29,990.
If you’re into the boring stuff, we’ll tell you that the engines that resulted in the improved efficiency come in the form of changes to the engine, transmission, aerodynamics, improved electrics. The economy has thus been increased by 6.5 percent on the Australian cycle to 4.3 l/100km, which isn’t really that impressive.

The vehicle is powered by the same IMA system that includes a 1.3-liter petrol unit and a 10kW electric motor (the two produce a combined 98 hp and 123 lb-ft of torque) with the CVT that controls the flow of power now coming with reduced friction.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
