2012 Honda Gold Wing to Arrive in Europe in Late 2011

The Old Continent was waiting for a sign to when it will receive the updated Gold Wing ever since Honda introduced it in February 2011, and has now finally received an answer to its question. The manufacturer today announced the luxury tourer will make its way to Europe at the end of this year.

The model whose history stretches back to 1972 has been extensively revised, with more dynamic styling, enhanced stability and performance, greater luggage capacity and new audio and navigation systems.

As with previous Goldwing models, Honda’s dual combined ABS comes as standard, as does an airbag. Genuine Honda Accessories are also available for the 2012 Goldwing, and are to include colour-matched rear spoiler with built-in high mount brake lights, high intensity fog lights, helmet headsets, pannier and trunk inner bags, chrome-plated covers and pillion armrest extension, to name a few.

As for the enhanced standard audio system, the new Gold Wing comes with direct MP3/iPod connectivity plus full device control through handlebar controls, SRS CS Auto technology surround-sound system, a six-element speaker system, and a 80-watt-per-channel power amplifier.

When the 2011 Honda Gold Wing will reach European showrooms, customers will be able to choose from three new color schemes, namely Glint Wave Blue Metallic, Pearl Fadeless White and Graphite Black. However, the most important detail we’d like to know is the price tag on this beauty, but which will unfortunately be announced closer to the market launch.
