The 2012 model year brings a new entry-level powerplant for the Honda Crosstour on the US market, with the carmaker recently announcing the introduction of a new four-cylinder unit.
We are talking about a 2.4-liter powerplant that delivers 195 hp at 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 162 lb-ft (219 Nm) at 4,000 rpm, which will be mated to a five-speed automatic gearbox and should return a fuel efficiency of 21 mpg city / 29 mpg highway.
Customers can choose between two equipment levels, the EX and the EX-L, with both offering standard features such as auto-on/off headlights, Bluetooth HandsFreeLink, USB audio interface and rearview mirror back-up camera display with integrated guidelines, projector-beam headlights, a moonroof, air conditioning with second-row ventilation, a 360-watt AM/FM 6-disc audio system with seven speakers, steering wheel-mounted cruise, audio and phone controls.
The carmaker hasn’t announced the pricing yet, but the vehicle is expected to have a starting price of under $30,000.
