Ford has made a change here and there to make the 2012 F-150 SVT Raptor even more attractive to people looking to buy a high-performance truck. The significant tweaks include the fact that a locking differential will be available for the independent front suspension.
The last model year only had an open front differential and lockable rear. However, the 2012 model keeps the electrically actuated rear lock, but adds a new traction-tuned front Torsen differential. This is composed of a set of cams that cause full diff lock if the truck is seeing slip between the right and left tires up front.

This will greatly help its off-road capabilities, especially up steep slopes and when one wheel can’t make contact with the ground.

Optional goodies for the 2012 SVT Raptor include a front camera option to allow drivers to see what’s happening directly in front of the tires. To check out what’s happening, the driver gets direct feed to an 8-inch screen in the center stack. There’s even a special washer to keep the camera clean.

In addition to this, all 2012 Raptors benefit from a number of styling changes, both inside and out. Exterior changes include a new Raptor logo and a graphics package that brings two diagonal stripes.

Inside the pickup, a matte anodized blue treatment can be specified, and there’s also an optional colored seat package.

A new set of Euroflange wheels that keep more of their mass inside and away from potential damage.
