2012 Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson Offers New Performance and Style Features

The F-150 Harley-Davidson edition was introduced by Ford back in 2000, as a Supercab truck with a standard engine. A year later, the truck received the Supercrew configuration. Also, after another year the Harley Davidson F-150 was fitted with a supercharged version of the 5.4 liter V8.

The 2012 Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson does not greets its fans with the type of gains the 2001 or 2002 offered in comparison to the model year that preceded them. But it does offer extra horsepower and torque which goes along with new features ranging from wheels to interior appointments. The 6.2-liter V8 which puts out 411hp is also found on the SVT Raptor manages to breath life into the F-150 truck.

The V8 comes matched to a exclusively automatic transmission, but does feature SelectShift technology, which comes fitted with a switch on the shift lever to eliminate computer intrusion in gear selection. On the exterior changes are obvious as a new 22-inch machined-aluminum wheels set with pained accents and Harley-Davidson bar and shield logo on the center cap. The manufacturer also offers on the options list a White Platinum Tri-Coat paint, which is joined by the Tuxedo Black paint option. Ford also integrated snake skin leather inserts and snakeskin leather seats.

“This is the first time we’ve captured the full spectrum of light to dark on the exterior. The graphic flows and accents the design curve of the truck, yet brings the texture of the snakeskin into the vehicle, which is something that’s very difficult to do.”Mike Massara, F-150 Program Manager.
