BMW has expanded its UK model range in Great Britain with the brand new 3-Series getting its first hybrid model, the ActiveHybrid The F30 model range will also see the arrival of the first xDrive model, the 320i xDrive, as well as M Sport trim level.
Starting from the top, the ActiveHybrid 3 is powered by a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine coupled to a 40kW (55hp) electric motor for a combined 340 horsepower. This gets it to 60 mph in 5.3 seconds and achieves a reasonable 47.9 mpg on the combined UK cycle. Prices start at just £40,225.
The 320i xDrive combines a 2.0-liter 184hp TwinPower Turbo engine with all-wheel drive for £27,400. The car gets to 60 mph in 7.4 seconds and will do 41.5 mpg on the combined UK cycle.
Last but not least, the M Sport package is now available on the F30 3-Series sedan as a £3,000 optional extra over the price o the SE model. It adds 18-inch M Star-spoke alloy wheels, M Sport suspension and M body kit with High-gloss Shadowline exterior trim. Inside, you get standard Dakota leather and an M Sport steering wheel, bolstering seats and M door sills.
