The Canadian International Auto Show will kick off next month in Toronto, and this is where the winners of the Car and Utility Vehicle of the Year awards will be announced. But now we have a shortlist for you people North of the border to choose a favorite from.
In the car category, the three finalists are the Hyundai Accent, Hyundai Elantra and Kia Optima. We think this might be a pattern, but we can’t really see it. As for the Utility vehicle category, this includes the BMW X3, Dodge Journey and the VW Touareg TDI Clean Diesel.

For the 2012 selection, some 170 vehicles in 11 different categories were evaluated by 70 auto journalists from across Canada. We’ll have their official vote as the Toronto show begins on February 16th.
