2012 Camaro ZL1 Launch Control Teased

Chevrolet is really proud of the fastest production Camaro it ever put together, and it’s doing everything it can to draw attention to it, even though few mortals will ever get to sit behind the wheel.
Just about every European manufacturer that makes a sportscar has some sort of launch control, so the ZL1 naturally needs something to make it go fast off the line. The video that’s been published on Chevrolet’s Youtube channel puts a very American twist to the millisecond-saving device, as the system is put to good use on the drag strip.

We’re still several months away from finding out what the launch control system has done for the 580 horsepower beast, but what the ZL1 does here is mighty impressive.

We’ll remind you that the car also has some other exotic goodies, including Magnetic Ride Control able to adjust the suspension settings up to 1,000 times per second and the new Performance Traction Management setup with five different settings.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
