Let the German Power War continue! Audi has just released the new generation of the Audi A6, also presenting us the hybrid version of the car. While the German carmaker used this marketing move to show us the eco-conscious nature of the car, the automotive enthusiasts from all around the world are waiting for an incarnation of the car that will play in a totally different league.

We are talking the RS incarnation of the model, a vehicle that should one of the fiercest figthers the Power War has seen. As a proof that the interest for the RS model has already reached sky-high levels, we’ll tell you that the virtual world is already offering us a rendering of the vehicle.

The Audi RS6 pictured here was brought to life by EDL design (Edeli Dan). The vehicle comes with the usual go-fast visual treatment, using an aggressive front fascia with “screaming” air intakes, beefier wheel arches, new rims (the ones pictured here seem to be inspired from the wheels used bu the Audi R8 V10), as well as an aluminum finish for the door mirrors.

Now it’s time to see what the future Autobahn blitzer will pack under the hood. Various media reports indicate that the vehicle will be hyperpowered by a forced induction V8 unit. This seems prety likely, as Audi and Bentley previously announced that they are working on an all-new V8 engine.

The previous generation of the RS6 used a 5.2 liter V10 powerplant pumping out 580 hp, so the new car should at least match this power rating.
