2012 302 Mustang Convertible by SMS Supercars Is a Looker

It’s been a while since we saw something to really blow our minds from the pony car world, but this 2012 302 Mustang Convertible fits the description well. It’s got the awesome red chrome bodywork that’s making big waves in the industry, a bit of retro feel provided by the big boot lip spoiler at the back and about as much naturally aspirated horsepower as you could want.
The vehicle was captured in all its glory by Mustang Daily when SMS Supercars had its recent Car Show and Open House event. Built to celebrate SMS’s partnership with the Sturgis Mustang Rally, it features a legendary Saleen color from back in the day, Lizstick Red.

It will stand out from a mile away, and you’ll also be able to hear it. The engine has been fitted with an Airaid Cold Air Intake and a Boss 302 intake manifold from Ford Racing. As a result, the 5.0-liter V8 now produces 500 horsepower.

Other changes over the stock model include the SMS fully body kit, 20-inch chrome wheels, 14-inch front brakes with drilled rotors, upgraded exhaust, S4 suspension system, and full leather and Alcantara interior.

If you want to get up close and personal with the ‘Stang, check out the full coverage from Mustang Daily.
