2011 Volkswagen Jetta Full UK Pricing Announced

Volkswagen has just released UK pricing for the new Jetta. The range starts at £16,960 ($27,500) for the 1.4-liter TSI with 122 hp and includes a total of sixteen models equipped with different petrol or diesel engines, a choice between three gearbox options and power outputs from 105 to 160 horsepower.

According to the VW press release, all Jettas are now equipped with air conditioning, an MP3 compatible CD stereo, six airbags, ABS, Electronic Stabilisation Program (ESP), an alarm and folding rear seats.

Featuring a restyled exterior, in line with the rest of the German carmaker's model range, the 2011 VW Jetta measures 4.64 meters (183 inches) in length, which means an additional 9 cm (3.54 inches) when compared to the previous generation. The wheelbase has been increased by 7 cm (2.75 inches) to 2.64 meters (103 inches). The interior also boasts new levels of comfort, safety and quality.

Powering the Jetta is a range of efficient TSI petrol and TDI diesel engines.  Two petrol engines are offered, as joining the existing 1.4 TSI 122 hp entry-level engine is a range-topping twin-charged 1.4-liter TSI unit that develops 160 hp.

Customers looking for a frugal Jetta should consider the efficient 1.6-liter TDI that churns out 105 hp. When equipped with BlueMotion Technology features including Start/Stop and battery regeneration as standard, it’s capable of achieving 67.3 mpg UK on the combined cycle while emitting just 109 g/km of CO2. A 2.0-liter TDI engine is also available and developing 140 hp.

The car is already available to order, with first customer deliveries due in May. For the complete 2011 Volkswagen Jetta UK price details check out the official press release attached below.
