Volkswagen is offering us the facelift version of the Eos. The vehicle adopts the new VW family face and is scheduled to make its world premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

The coupe-cabriolet received a new front fascia that includes redesigned headlights with LED daytime running lights, a new front grille with chromed accents, as well as a
generously-sized air intake and new fog lights. At the rear of the vehicle, we find fresh square-design taillamps that use LED technology and a redesigned bumper.

As for the interior, this has received enhanced materials, a new steering wheel and a redesigned instrument panel. In addition to that, customers can also choose new leather finishes. VW now offers a special Cool LEather finish that reflects the sun.

The 2011 Eos has received multiple equipment additions, such as a multi-function color Premium display, Lights Assist, the second generation of the Park Assist, Keyless Access.
The vehicle’s engine range includes one diesel unit and three petrol units. The diesel is a 140 hp unit that can be mated to a six-speed manual or to a six-speed DSG automatic. The entry-level petrol unit is a 122 hp 1.4 TSI, which is followed by a 160 hp incarnation of the same engine and by a 210 hp 2.0 TSI engine (this is borrowed from the Golf GTI). All the petrol units come with a six-speed manual transmission, while the range-topper can be ordered with a six-speed DSG gearbox.

VW also offers two BlueMotion versions, which are aimed at offering a high level of efficiency. These are based on the 2.0 TDI engine and on the 122 hp 1.4 TSI unit.

The 2011 Volkswagen Eos will make its way to dealerships across Europe in mid-January next year, with a starting price of EUR27,795 ($38,845).
