It seems that Japanese designers sometimes dream up cars based on comics and sometimes they create them ready to be used in comics. But either way, this is their way of doing things and it’s sure to catch on in the Manga drawing circles.
While the Nissan Cube looks like it was created on an Etch A Sketch or using only a ruler, Suzuki’s vision of the future was created with a circle template and a compass. It’s called the Q-Concept and it looks like the mating between an electric car, a snail and some soap bubbles.
The 2011 Suzuki Q-Concept will make its official debut at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show. It designed to be a city car that only measures 2,500 mm in length. The seating arrangement is a tandem design, so it’s only 1,300 mm wide.
Powering the snail on wheels is an electric motor and your usual battery pack with an estimated range of 50 kilometers (31 miles) and a top speed of 60km/h (37 mph).
