Hyundai brought over a total of five concept vehicles to this year’s SEMA Show and one of them targets the Genesis Coupe. The two-door has received a supercharger for its 3.8-liter V6 and a bunch of other tech mods in order to boost the power to 450 hp. It looks like this isn’t just another custom job, as it preview an actual prodution version in some way shape or form.
Added performance kit for the SC include 19-inch Enkei rims wrapped in Hankook runner, a Bilstein suspension, Brembo brakes, a lightened flywheel and (moving away from the tech side), an aggressive Rhis Millen aerodynamic package, a Harman Lexicon audio system, a Katzkin leather finish and others.
"The HATCI and Magnuson supercharger demonstrates the high-performance potential of Genesis Coupe's V-6 engine – the car was engineered to handle this kind of extra power," said HATCI senior engineer David Dutko. "Our HATCI engineers have been working for years with Magnuson to ensure high engine output is available on future Hyundai vehicles."
