2011 SEMA: 2012 Kia Optima Hybrid Pacecar

We have to admit that we’ve never actually heard of such a cool combination being brought to the SEMA Show ever before. The South Korean automaker has taken to motorsport with an Optima Hybrid that’s been modified to become its best self ever - a race-ready pacecar.

As you’d expect from that striking green accent color, the car was built by GoGoGear. The automaker says the Optima safety vehicle will officially hit the track at the USTCC in March 2012.

The body is covered with a striking combo of black and lime-green. Strangely enough, this SEMA concept also boasts something that has nothing to do with racing - a 2,400-watt audio and video system with dual seven-inch monitors.

Changes made to the hybrid racer include a racing exhaust made by Magnaflow, a coil-over suspension kit that lowers the Optima and some aero bits in the form of a ront splitter and rear wing.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
