2011 Renaultsport Trackday Calendar Announced

Fancy track days? We do too. Anyway, we’re not here to speak about ourselves, but to invite British owners of Renaultsport vehicles (what can we say, we like niches) to take their vehicles to the limit and beyond in the company’s 2011 trackday season.

This year’s events kick off at Bedford Autodrome, on May 20, and will subsequently take drivers to famous British circuits like Knockhill, Silverstone and Brands Hatch, allowing them to explore the full potential of the cars.

Phil York, Renault’s Marketing Director spoke about the popularity of the trackdays, explaining that these also allow the drivers to improve their skills: “Renaultsport trackdays are the perfect way of our customers sharing our passion for Renaultsport. This gives them the opportunity to realise the full potential of their cars in a safe and relaxed atmosphere. The tuition provides invaluable experience to improving skill levels.

In addition to that, owners have the opportunity to take part in a special event that will be held at the Nurburgring Nordschleife, with the Renaultsport specialist being ready to hit the Green Hell.

As part of the programme, drivers have the chance to take the wheel of the latest high performance Renaultsport exotica for a few grin-inducing laps with the Twingo Renaultsport 133 Cup, the Clio Renaultsport 200 Cup or the Megane Renaultsport 250 Cup. They will also enjoy a “hot” lap in the car from the passenger seat with a qualified instructor at the wheel,” explains the press release.
