Apparently, there was a Nissan Pivo 2 Concept some 4 years ago and another one in 2005, six years ago, but we it hasn’t been burned into our memories like say a GT-R. Well now, there’s a brand new one and it looks like a mix between the Nissan Leaf electric car and the seating arrangement of a smart fortwo.
The Pivo 3 is indeed yet another EV coming from Nissan to this year’s Tokyo Motor Show. However, the Japanese automaker is calling it a more “realistic”sort of concept, and if you squint really hard you can see a shape similar to that of the Renault Twizy, especially when you look at the doors.

Nissan did not reveal anything about the drive train power or range, but it seems they are convinced this is the way of the future when it comes to urban transportation.

The concept has motors in the wheels, side-view cameras linked to monitors and the capacity to charge from the parking spot. The Povo 3 has seating for 3 in a 1+2 arrangement, as the driver sits in the middle.
