2011 Mercedes R-Klasse Available for Order from 42,100 Euros

The recently introduced Mercedes Benz R-Klasse is now available for order, with prices set by the German carmaker at 42,100 euros for the entry-level model. In all, nine basic versions of the model will be offered, with the top of the range version, the R 500 4MATIC long-wheelbase, retailing for 62,400 euros.

On the outside, the car boasts a horizontally structured bonnet and redesigned wings, radiator grille and surround, headlamps and bumpers. A chrome insert with integrated LED daytime driving lights in conjunction with bi-xenon headlamps is also available.

Standard features on all models include PRE-SAFE anticipatory occupant proitection system, eight airbags, crash-responsive NECK-PRO head restraints, a tire pressure warning system and adaptive brake lights.

The driver is assisted in operating the car by DISTRONIC proximity control, AIRMATIC air suspension with the Adaptive Damping System ADS or Blind Sport Assist. A LINGUATRONIC voice-operated control system is also fitted into the R-Klasse to lend a hand.

Inside, the new generation R-Klasse makes use of new materials and color combinations, including the upholstery combination of "Aspen" fabric and breathable, soft-touch ARTICO man-made leather. Single-tone nappa leather appointments are available as standard in conjunction with the AMG Interior Sports package.

The R-Klasse comes, as said, in nine different variants: R 300 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY, R 350 CDI 4MATIC, R 350 CDI 4MATIC long, R 350 BlueTEC 4MATIC, R 300, R 300 long, R 350 4MATIC, R 350 4MATIC long and R 500 4MATIC long.
