Here’s one we didn’t see coming! Mercedes Benz is going to unveil a new concept vehicle called the F125. It has gullwing doors like the SLS, but it’s bot clear what kind of production car this previews yet, as it’s actually powered not by hybrid engines, but hydrogen.
The car will be officially unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show, most likely within the next couple of days, but a number of images have slipped through the cracks and into the hands of OmniAuto.

The concept reportedly packs no less than four electric motors that draw juice from a hydrogen fuel cell stack. The output is rated at 231 horsepower, which can push the car to 60 mph (98 km/h) in 4.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 136 mph (218 km/h). That might sound like a lot of performance from hothatch levels of power, but the whole thing only weighs a ton. Range on a full tank of hydrogen is expected to be 620 miles, and electric-only driving can be achieved for 31 miles thanks to an onboard battery.
