2011 Mazda BT-50 Interior Revealed

As we reported last month, Mazda will hold the world premiere of the 2011 BT-50 pickup at the 2010 Australian International Motor Show, which is scheduled to be held in Sidney between Friday, October 15 and Sunday, October 24.

Now, the company is releasing a rendering of the vehicle’s interior, allowing us to see the driver-focused cabin.

Presented as an “active lifestyle vehicle”, the interior of the All-New Mazda BT-50 has been designed to complement its athletic and refined exterior design and offers a comfortable and sporty environment to rival Mazda’s current passenger car standard. The cockpit is designed to wrap around the driver and provide an environment that supports enthusiastic driving while raising the expectations of a sporty and responsive driving experience that goes beyond any conventional utility,” stated the press release.

The vehicle’s interior comes with smooth flowing lines that offer a look which is usually found in refined passenger-only vehicles. However, the designers worked together with engineers to offer both style and a high level of space for the driver and the passengers.

The driver is offered an enhanced instrument panel that uses special meters. The company has paid special attention to the ergonomics of the cabin, making sure that the operation of the controls and switches is comfortable and intuitive.

With modern and refined styling both inside and out, the All-New Mazda BT-50 will raise the bar in the utility segment and for the first time provide a realistic alternative to the family wagon and 4x4 SUV,” stated the press release.
