2011 Maserati Kubang Concept at 2011 Dubai Motor Show

While the looks of the Maserati SUV haven’t managed to completely win us over and the name is unpronounceable, we’re confident that Fiat Group CEO Sergio Marchionne will deliver on his promise to bring a completely Maserati vehicle and not just a rebadged Jeep.
The concept version of the SUV which was first unveiled in Frankfurt is reportedly actually going to be called the Cinqueporte once it enters production, a name which means five-door in Italian. Unbeknownst to us, the Kubang concept also made its Middle East baptizement of motor show fire at the recent Dubai venue where 4Wheels of Luxury caught this footage.

A brand new Maserati proprietary engines will be designed in Modena by Paolo Martinelli – Head of the Maserati Powertrain Department and for nearly 30 years at Ferrari. The new units will be coupled to an AT 8 speed automatic transmission. Could we be seeing the First Maserati diesels soon?

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
