Lancia is a really hot subject in today's automotive news, as the company has recently announced its product lineup for the 2011 Geneva Auto Show in March. Besides the Ypsilon we told you about earlier, the company will also present the new Thema, the company's flagship sedan that will be based on the Chrysler 300. And the Italian manufacturer says the new Thema is actually a perfect blend of American size, comfort and road presence with luxury interiors and Italian design.
Power will be provided by a 3.6-liter engine developing 292 horsepower and two variations of the 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel unit developed by the Italians, with power of 190 and 224 horsepower.
The car will go on sale in Europe in October, with the Geneva display to showcase two models in Platinum configuration. The two cars will be powered by 3.6-liter petrol engine and will feature 22-inch rims from Lineaccessori Lancia plus a panoramic electric sunroof, as well as 8.4-inch display with navigation and touchscreen, Adaptive Cruise Control with Forward Collision Warning and Parkview Rear Back-Up Camera.
Each of these features will be available in the new Thema when the car will go on sale later this year. Pricing and specific launch date for European markets will be rolled out at a later date.
autoevolution will be attending the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
