2011 KTM RC8 R Pricing Announced

The North American division of KTM has recently announced pricing for its 2011 street bikes, including for the 1190 RC8 R and 1190 RC8 R Track models. Specifically, while the former is available at $16,499, the latter will retail for $19,999 when it will arrive at nationwide KTM dealerships this March.

We’ll remind you that the latest KTM 1190 RC8 R comes packing 175 bhp, 127 Nm of torque, 185 kg „ready to race“, and dual-plug ignition.

“Hobby riders will enjoy this new RC8 R just as much as professional racers. Especially the first group of RC8 R users is going to be pleased with further 2011 modifications like the improved gear shift linkage, the new LED daytime running lights or the elaborate, high gloss paint job. The latest Dunlop SportSmart tires make for the icing of the cake,”
the company says.

On the other hand, the new KTM 1190 RC8 R Track comes as a race-ready version of the aforementioned model. The pure bred sports-oriented bike fills in the gap between the official RC8 racing machines and the series models.

The motorcycle is compatible with the FIM Superstock homologation and can therefore be used in official championships.

“Riders who are regularly on the race track often invest a lot of time and money to prepare their sports machine in the best possible way. In the case of the RC8 R Track, the KTM Racing Department takes over this role. The “Track” directly developed and produced by the RC8 Motorsport Department is the perfect two cylinder Superbike for hobby riders - like those competing in various championships,” KTM brags.

Both the 2011 KTM RC8 R and the RC8 R Track have been presented at the 2010 EICMA show in Milan last November.
