2011 Kawasaki Z750R UK Pricing Announced

Kawasaki’s latest middleweight streetfighter, the 2011 Z750R, has already caused a stir among European motorcycle enthusiasts, and has now made its way to the UK. Now, the British division of the Japanese manufacturer had just revealed the prices and availability of the bike.

Getting straight to the point, the sporty naked bike will go on sale in January 2011 at GBP7,140, including the 20 percent VAT. The all-new 750cc machine comes with new brakes and exhaust system.

The bike is propelled by a 748cc inline four cylinder, liquid cooled, DOHC with digital fuel injection. It provides 106 hp and 72 to 78 Nm (53 to 57 lb-ft) of torque, which is enough to boost the 195kg machine to a top speed of 149 mph (240 km/h).

Some styling tweaks have been made, such as the nose cone, indicators and footpegs. Limited edition colors and revised clocks are also featured. Handlebar ends and ergonomics have also been revised.

The supersports style instrumentation includes a black-backed analogue-style tachometer that sits alongside an orange LCD display with digital speedometer, odometer, trip meter, water temp, fuel gauge, clock, etc.

“Radial-mount, opposed 4-piston front calipers gripping thicker 300 mm petal discs deliver increased braking performance and enhanced feel. Radial-pump front brake master cylinder also contributes to the superb control and feel offered by the new calipers. Steel-braided lines offering more direct feel complete the front brake package,”
Kawasaki says about the bike’s stopping power.

The bike comes with new improved chassis with fully adjustable front forks, revised rear shock on a new aluminum swing arm, and ABS as an option. The ABS-equipped version will likely add a couple of hundred GBPs to the bike’s retail price.
