2011 Kawasaki Z1000SX and Ninja ZX-10R at Motorcycle Live

After failing to impress with its display at this year’s EICMA event in Milan, with a poorly lightened and cramped stand, Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Kawasaki will have a second shot at winning the heart of its fans at the upcoming Motorcycle Live Show. The event at the NEC is scheduled to take place between November 27 – December 5.

There will be two models making their UK debut at the event, specifically the 2011 Ninja ZX-10R and Z1000SX. The manufacturer will also offer one hour briefing sessions on these two new machines.

“Staff from Kawasaki will be on hand to provide detailed information on the bikes and the key features that our designers have ingrained into the DNA of the these all new Kawasaki's,”
the company assures us in a statement.

Taken separately, the new Z1000SX maxi-naked machine is powered by a liquid-cooled, DOHC, 16-valve 1,043 cc in-line four engine offers an impressive power level of 138 hp (101.5 kW) and strong torque. The exhaust system is composed of a 4-into-2 pre-chamber, going into-2 layout silencer end-caps, thus creating a quad-style image.

Other highlights of the model include added storage under the seat as well as optional GIVI side cases with 35 liters of room each. It only comes available in Kawasaki Candy Lime Green and Ebony.

On the other hand, powering the 2011 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is a 998cc, 16-valve, DOHC, liquid-cooled inline-four engine, with three different power modes, capable of developing 197 horsepower (or 207 horsepower with ram air in full effect). Other key features of the bike include all-new aluminium twin-spar frame, KIBS, and new instrumentation which can be set to Normal Mode or Race Mode.
