2011 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Gets Double Bubble Windscreen from Skidmarx

British aftermarket manufacturer Skidmarx announced today the debut of a new Bubbly Ninja windscreen. Specifically, the company has developed a double bubble windscreen for the 2011 model 197 bhp Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R.

Skidmarx double bubble screens reportedly enhance the aerodynamics of motorcycles and increase the air pocket behind the screen. They have been used by Buildbase, the highest finishing Kawasaki team last season.

The road bike versions are produced from 3mm acrylic using the same technology as the race screens. No modification is necessary as all Skidmarx screens are designed to replace the original factory-fitted item using the existing mounting points and fasteners.

“Skidmarx screens are bred for the track – all top six motorcycles in the 2010 British Superbike championship were fitted with the British company's race screens - and the Weymouth-based manufacturer is developing double bubble screens the latest high performance road bikes,”
the company brags in a statement for the press.

The new Skidmarx double bubble screens retail at £54.95 (including VAT) in a choice of clear, light or dark tints. A range of coloured options can be ordered as well, for a £6 surcharge. Replacement standard screens are also available, in clear, light or dark tints, priced at £42.95, while coloured versions cost £48.95.

In the UK, the 2011 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R will retail at GBP11,699 and GBP12,699 for the ABS equipped model. An additional sports package includes traction control and DTC, costing an extra GBP1,360. The bike comes in either black or green, with the new KIRB system, which is Kawasaki's Intelligent anti-lock Brake System, plus the new S-KTRC which minimizes wheel slip on slick or broken surfaces.
