2011 Infiniti EX35 Named IIHS Top Safety Pick

The latest model to get the highest safety rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) is the 2011 Infiniti EX35, which has just been awarded with the Top Safety Pick.Just like the Infiniti M37/M56, already included on the list of 2011 Top Safety Picks, the EX35 has also achieved the rating of "Good" in front, rear and side impact protection, are equipped with electronic stability control, and earn a good rating in roof strength.

All 2011 Infiniti EX35 vehicles come equipped with the Infiniti Advanced Air Bag System (AABS) with dual-stage, dual-threshold front air bags and seat belt and occupant classification sensors, roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental air bags for front and rear outboard occupant head protection, seat-mounted driver and front passenger side-impact supplemental air bags and front-seat Active Head Restraints.

Additional standard equipment includes LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) system, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and Traction Control System (TCS).

In addition, the Infiniti EX also offers a host of available advanced technologies including, Lane Departure Prevention system (LDP), Intelligent Cruise Control, Distance Control Assist (DCA) and Intelligent Brake Assist (IBA) with Forward Collision Warning. The Blind Spot Warning (BSW) system illuminates an indicator light if another vehicle is detected in the blind spot area.  If the driver then uses the turn signal, the indicator flashes and an audible warning sounds.
