2011 Honda CBR125R UK Pricing Announced

The British division of Honda announced today pricing of the new CBR125R that was introduced to the public for the first time at the 2010 EICMA show in Milan last November. Getting straight to the point, the learner-legal CBR125R costs £3,170 OTR (including first registration fee and road tax totalling £70).

Also, interested buyers will have the choice of three color schemes for 2011, namely Terra Silver Metallic, Ross White Tricolour and Asteroid Black Metallic.

The revised CBR125R now comes equipped with the latest advances in fuel-injection, exhaust and catalyser technology making it even more fuel efficient while still carrying the ever-popular sporty styling of its larger siblings.

“Since its introduction in 2004, the CBR125R has represented the ideal first sportsbike. Compact, lightweight, refined, easy to use and with welcoming handling that the CBR family is renowned for. It’s a firm favourite with young riders the world over,” the company says. “For 2011, the all new CBR125R is ready to prove itself as the perfect first sportsbike for a new generation of riders.”

The engine is a liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 4-stroke single-cylinder SOHC that starts instantly at the touch of a button and revs smoothly to provide 13 hp at a staggering 10,000 rpm and 10.6 Nm (7.8 lb-ft) of torque at 8,250 rpm. Transmission is a 6-speed manual.

Unfortunately, riders can hope for a top speed of only 75 mph (120 km/h). In terms of fuel efficiency, the CBR is ahead of the competition, averaging 84 mpg or 2.8 l/100km. That will keep you going for about 218 miles (350 km) until the 2.6 gallon (10 liter) gas tank dries out.
