2011 Geneva Auto Show to Feature 170 Premieres

A show of paramount importance for the European and global automotive scenes, the Geneva Auto Show is getting ready to greet its guests with possibly the biggest collection of world and European premieres we'll see all year. In all, the 7 exhibition halls of Palexpo will be home to no less than 170 premieres, 40 of which will be of models using green technologies. 700 auto makers and manufacturers will be representing 31 countries, with the most anticipated presences being those of new comers or returning brands GTA Motor, De Tomaso, Ssangyong, Kellener Sport, MTM and Novidem. Companies like Somtechnika, Niama-Reisser, iEV1, SynergEthic, EOS SAS, INNOMOT, Greentech Energy, Cogitare Urbem, Dow Kokam et Meco World will present their green vehicles and technologies, while established manufacturers are expected to give us a glimpse of the future lineups. “Remember that the Geneva International Motor Show is not only one of the most attractive in the automobile world, but also one of the most leading-edge. It is recognised as one of the "Top 5" international motor shows in the world," say the organizers. The event will open, as do all auto shows, with two press days preceding the public, opening the doors of the Palexpo to an estimated 10,000 journalists. In the following 10 days, some 700,000 people are expected to come and experience the motoring future on their own. autoevolution will be attending the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
