2011 Geneva: Alfa Romeo 4C Concept Will Definitely Be There!

Alfa has a few days ago unveiled the goodies it has prepared for the 2011 Geneva Auto Show in March, introducing to the world the 2011 model year Alfa Romeo MiTo, as well as a bunch of new things to some of the other vehicles. But, as many of you have noticed, there was no confirmation on the eagerly-awaited 4C Concept, a prototype that was supposed to be unveiled at the Swiss event in order to preview a future production model. But it seems like Alfa Romeo wants to keep the unveiling secret until the debut of the show. A report published by Auto magazine reveals that the 4C Concept will definitely be at the show and, although the Italians over at Alfa Romeo haven't talked about it, this is going to be the company's big surprise for the March venue. The aforementioned publication has also rolled out a few new details of the model which we're not sure they're true. They claim the future 4C Concept will come in the form of a sporty coupe with a mid-engine and rear-wheel drive, using a carbon fiber chassis based on the KTM X-Bow. Performance is going to be astonishing, as the car will hit 62 mph in less than 5 seconds, while the maximum speed would go around 250 km/h (155 mph). Power will be provided by the TBi 1750 which will be especially tuned to provide between 240 and 270 horsepower. autoevolution will be attending the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
