It’s 2010. We haven’t replaced road vehicles with flying cars as fantastically predicted but now, some of us will have twitter in their cars. The 2011 Ford Edge and the 2011 Lincoln MKX will allow audio access to the social network’s feeds thanks to MyFord and respectively MyLincoln touch dashboard, Motorauthority reported.
This is the latest integrated feature in Ford’s SYNC system. The technology includes an 8-inch touch screen LCD, two 4.2-inch color LCDs on each side of the speedometer, USB, SD, WiFi, 3D maps, and iTunes tagging. People who can't be without the world wide web browsing is available with the help of the previously mentioned 8-inch screen. They only have to bring a USB keyboard. If one already has a laptop, phone or similar device, the Internet can be accessed through the car’s web connection.
MyFord was revealed at Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show as being available on the 2011 Ford Edge with the 2012 Ford Focus as the next host.
As factory ICE (In Car Entertainment) systems become more and more advanced we’re expecting different synergies between Internet social network and automotive producers. After all, the car has been on twitter ever since the social network’s beginning, why wouldn’t the twitter be in the car?
