2011 Dodge Charger Enforcer, New Canadian Police Cruiser

The gangs of Canada (yes, there are gangs in Canada as well) tremble with fear today, after one of the car makers from the country to the South, Chrysler, announced the introduction of the 2011 Dodge Charger Enforcer, one mean looking, and hopefully very capable police car.

To be made available to all law enforcement agencies across Canada in the coming weeks for testing and such, the Enforcer brings with it a 3.6l Pentastar V6 engine as standard. Already one sight you don't want to see in the rear-view mirror, the scary front end of the Charger might also hide a 5.7l HEMI V8 engine, which will send after you a lot more horses than the smaller unit.

The police cruiser is equipped with anything and everything a Canadian police officer could want from his ride, and at times even more. The Enforcer is equipped with performance suspension tuning, heavy-duty anti-lock vented-disc brakes (ABS), front- and rear-stabilizer bars, 18-inch performance tires on steel wheels and two-mode police-specific Electronic Stability Control (ESC) calibration.

At the interior, the job of a police officer is made easy by using a Police Interface Module, police-duty front seats, column-mounted automatic transmission with Auto Stick and red/white LED interior lighting for night-vision equipment.

In case of a high-speed chase, which can end badly for the cop, his safety is insured with all the latest in safety technologies: multistage driver and front-passenger air bags, seat-mounted side-thorax air bags, supplemental side-curtain air bags for front and rear outboard passengers, driver’s knee bag and tire-pressure monitoring.
