2011 Audi Q7 UK Pricing Released

The British division of Audi recently announced pricing for the 2011 Audi Q7 models, which are available to order now and with first deliveries scheduled to begin in the UK in June. The latest Q7 comes with a new eight-speed tiptronic transmission combines, as well as new supercharged and turbocharged engines to improve fuel economy by up to 19 percent.

Getting straight to the point, the new Q7 is priced from £40,135 OTR for the 240PS 3.0TDI quattro version, while prices go up to £54,055 OTR for the 340PS 4.2 TDI quattro model.

As said, new power units are here to replace the naturally aspirated 3.6-litre FSI and 4.2-litre FSI petrol units, namely two versions of the supercharged 3.0-litre TFSI engine. Both versions achieve a combined cycle fuel economy figure of 26.4 mpg and a CO2 output of 249g/km.

The first one offers 272PS and a 40Nm torque which propels the Q7 from naught to sixty in 7.9 seconds and gives it a top speed of 140mph. The second one delivers 333PS and 440Nm of torque, allowing the Q7 to reach 62mph from rest in 6.9 seconds, and to continue to a top speed of 152mph.

Based on the original six-speed tiptronic, but with another friction-clutch shift element added, the new eight-speed transmission improves fuel economy by around five percent. Drivers can choose between ‘D’ and ‘S’ modes, or make their own gear shifts in ‘manual’ mode via the gear lever or the optional steering-wheel paddles.

The power is transmitted to the four driven wheels via the quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system. The Q7 model range will be available in three trim levels. Standard, SE and S line options are offered for the 3.0 TFSI 272PS and V6 TDI models, while the 3.0 TFSI 333PS and V8 TDI versions are available exclusively in SE or S line form.
