Acura has announced pricing for the 2011 TSX Sport Wagon that will hit the US market in just a few weeks. The price tag of $30,960 (€23,345), not including $860 (€640) for destination, is $1,350 (€1020) more than the previous generation.

The refreshed 2011 model TSX, first unveiled at the New York Auto Show, now comes as standard with a leather-trimmed interior, premium seven-speaker sound system, XM radio, USB audio with iPod integration, Bluetooth connectivity and a power moonroof.

An optional TSX Technology Package costs $3,650 (€2750) extra and comes with sat-nav with voice recognition and rear-view camera, an ELS surround audio system, GPS-linked solar-sensing climate control and a power liftgate out back.

The TSX Sport Wagon can only be equipped with a 2.4-liter inline-four, mated exclusively to a five-speed automatic transmission (a six-speed manual is available on the sedan). The Acura TSX Sport Wagon delivers brisk performance while achieving an estimated 30 mpg (7.84 l/100km) on the highway. The 201 hp it provides is more than enough, but we would have like it if the model was available with the sedan's 280-hp V6.

Bold wheel arches frame 17 inch 5-spoke aluminum wheels (as standard), giving the Sport Wagon an aggressive stance. The chiseled, muscular body and sloping roofline emphasize its performance capabilities, while also making it more aerodynamic. The wagon offers highly functional rear cargo space that includes a removable side panel to accommodate wider items such as golf clubs and integrated under-floor bins for hidden storage. The spacious cabin is capable of comfortably seating five adults, even on long journeys.
