2011 Acura TL Details and Pricing Released

Luxury car brand Acura announced today pricing and specification for the US market of its new Acura TL model. Available for 2011 in two different models (TL and TL SH-AWD), the fourth-generation Acura TL comes with two V6 powertrains and two interior trim levels, with pricing starting at $35,305.

As said, the 2011 Acura TL comes in two engine choices: a 280 horsepower 3.5-liter SOHC, front-wheel-drive variant and a powerful 305 horsepower 3.7-liter SOHC paired with Acura's exclusive Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system. EPA fuel economy ratings are of 21 mpg (11.2 l/100km) and 20 mpg (11.8 l/100km) respectively, on a combined cycle.

As for the tire/wheel combination, the 2011 TL comes standard with 17-inch aluminum wheels or optional 18-inch aluminum wheels with all-season tires. The TL SH-AWD features standard 18-inch wheels or optional 19-inch wheels with high-performance tires.

Each TL model is available with the Technology Package which includes navigation, a rear view camera, an Acura/ELS Surround 410-watt Premium Audio System, and a host of cutting edge electronic technologies such as AcuraLink Real-Time Traffic with Traffic Rerouting and AcuraLink Real-Time Weather.

"The 2011 TL is the quintessential sports sedan, combining equal parts technology, luxury and exciting performance," said Jeff Conrad, vice president of Acura sales, "Moreover, not only is the 6-speed manual transmission model the best performing Acura TL ever, it is the top handling performer among every vehicle in its class."

Safety wise, the 2011 Acura TL makes use of Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure, which enhances occupant protection and crash compatibility in frontal crashes, 4-wheel disc brakes (with ABS, Electronic Brake Distribution and Brake Assist), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and daytime running lights (DRL).
