The car comes with new headlights, front grille, a new hood and a new front bumper with integrated fog lights. Inside, the new RAV4 comes with new leather/Alcantara seat upholstery, with options now included HDD navigation systems and DVD players.
The new RAV4 also has two new extra exterior colors, namely Deep Titanium metallic and White Pearl pearlescent.
The engine lineup starts with a 2.0-liter Valvematric petrol configuration that produces 156 horsepower at 6,200 rpm and 198 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. In 2WD mode and coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox, the engine helps the car accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.2 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 185 km/h (115 mph).
In 4WD configuration however, the engine offers a 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 10.5 seconds and a top speed of 185 km/h (115 mph), while the sprint goes up to 11 seconds with a Multidrive S transmission.
A 2.2-liter D-4D 150 diesel engine is also available, generating 150 horsepower and 340 Nm of torque. With a maximum speed of 190 km/h, the engine delivers a 2WD 0-100km/h acceleration time of 10.0 seconds, and 10.2 seconds with 4WD. The same engine is also available with a second configuration putting out 177 horsepower, with a performance of 0-100 km/h in 9.3 seconds and a maximum speed of 200 km/h.
